LACMA 50 for 50: Gifts on the Occasion of LACMA's 50th Anniversary
LACMA has a special place in my heart because my first paid PR job was located literally across the street from the museum. So I spent many lunch hours and after hours at LACMA meeting friends in my early 20s.
Fast forward 20 years later, and it gives me much pleasure to know that my hubby shares my love of the arts and gladly renews our membership annually.
As you can imagine, there's always something to see or do at a museum, especially one as large as LACMA, so I plan to share bits and pieces of our visits more often.
Today, I want to share photos of the 50 for 50 exhibit, which is comprised of 50 gifts made by 25 donors to celebrate LACMA's 50th anniversary.
From paintings by renowned American artists such as Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol; to impressionist art by Claude Monet and sculptures by Edgar Degas, the exhibit features a robust generational representation of art from across the globe.
The exhibit opened in early April of this year and will be on display until September 13, 2015. To plan your visit to LACMA and purchase your museum tickets or annual membership, go here.
