Parisian Croissants at L'Amande, Beverly Hills

My hubby and I were recently invited to have brunch at L'Amande French Bakery in Beverly Hills.

L'Amande is a cafe, and bakery, that's committed to serving only the freshest food, and makes all of it's pastries, breads, marmalades and even salad dressing in-house using traditional French recipes.

While the pastries and breads are incredibly flavorful, the croissants were exceptional...

L'Amande croissants credit their unique flavor and flakiness to the 72 hours it takes to meticulously hand-make a single croissant using the classic French ingredients: flour, butter and salt.

The bakery's very own laminating machine, which is basically a giant rolling pin, ensures that each croissant has a perfectly consistent and delicate layers.

The bakers then allow the croissants to rest three to four times during this laminating process before baking them. Once baked, L'Amande then adds almonds, fruit jams, custards or glazes to create their flavorful croissants, such as the raspberry almond croissant.

Beyond the croissants, which are worth a visit in themselves, L'Amande has a full menu for both breakfast and brunch.

Following are a few of our favorite dishes...

If you are local to the Westside, L'Amande is a great place to stop by for lunch and dine al fresco, but if you are visiting, I highly recommend that you stop by for breakfast and stay in the 90210 for a little window shopping.
