Bodies...The Exhibition at the Luxor Las Vegas

My hubby and I were invited to visit this exhibition.  The following is my true and honest opinion.

Bodies…The Exhibition at the Luxor offers and unprecedented opportunity for visitors to see a museum-quality exhibition in Vegas.

The Exhibition is an educational exhibit and a departure from the traditional Vegas shows.  The enlightening exhibiting allows guests deeply into the skeletal, muscular, nervous, circulatory, respiratory systems, in a display that encourages everyone to peek a little further, as questions and learn.

All bodies are treated to make sure that they do not smell, while at the same time, not altering them for better viewing and learning.

I was fascinated with the size of the “bodies.” Whereas we are all brought-up to believe that we are all the same, it's not true.  Meaning, sure, we all have the same organs, skeletons, etc., but at the end of the day, each body is unique.  Size is different, and skeletons, unlike what we have been told, are not all the same.

Big bodies rejoice, some of us are born bigger – and we have an exhibit that proves it.

The one part of the body that I really wanted to to see was the endocrine system.  Being that I have battled with Thyroid issues with many years, I wanted to see that nut-size organ that has created so much havoc in my life. 

I think I was quite loud when I saw it on a table together with a few other organs.  “That’s it!”  I told my hubby, “This is the gland that makes me fat, hot, cold, and miserable.”

The people around us came over and we started chatting.  It’s almost as I had discovered gold. 

Our circulatory system looks like a work of art.  Nature is amazing.

Each room in the exhibit was focused on different parts of the body.  Another one, which was actually quite eye-opening, was seeing how “cancer” discolored organs that it affected.  Personally, my big issue is with my hubby smoking.  Although he is now “sorta-kinda-quitting” by using another addiction: E-Cigs, it was obvious to see that Cancer rotted your insides.  Literally.

It took us a good two hours to go through the exhibit only because we were both engaged with the displays, spoke to the staff and asked questions, and of course, were our quintessential social selves.

The Exhibit is a great departure from your mainstay Vegas shows. Because of this, it’s also quite a different experience.  

Instead of loosing your brain cells, you will actually, probably, multiply them, from all the learning you will do….in Vegas, no less!

Although tickets are available at the box office, you might want to pre-purchase a three attractions for only $57, and also include The Titanic Artifact Exhibit.
